I will miss her wit, her telling of neighborhood stories, her interest in local history and ability to recall details of events. Also her strong faith and desire for social justice. I have only fond memories of Mrs. Sanders as I knew her! And I certainly do remember the big cookies! They always had lots of chocolate chips and were soft! She always made me feel welcome and sometimes I felt like I was another daughter! I think I spent more time at her house with Mary than I did it my own house! I will always remember her warmly! Dear Liz and family, We lived across from your mom for 7 years on Parmenter and she was just the sweetest, spunkiest lady! We received many of her home cooked goodies over the years, including some of the best applesauce I’ve ever had. Our girls loved walking in her yard and referred to it as the “Secret Garden” because there was always something new to discover. We also received many beautiful bouquets of flowers-she was in a league of her own! Our thoughts are with you during the difficult time.
