James "Mike" Harrington

Jim was a friend. I think we first met at a Civil War Round table meeting and then became familiar as active members and officers of MTI. Jim was a colleague in the Social Studies department at James Madison Memorial. Always friendly, always supportive, always an ally in controversy, his memory is valuable to me.

It was my privilege and pleasure to work with Jim during his years of service on the Board of Directors of Madison Teachers Inc, where Jim served with distinction as a member of the Negotiations Committee as well as President. John Matthews
