Obituary

MADISON - Grace M. Forsmo, age 78, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022. She was born on Dec. 4, 1943, the daughter of Arley and Linda (Kemmer) Nesson. Grace graduated from Middleton High School in 1961 and later married Gordon C. Forsmo on May 15, 1965.

Grace is survived by her son, Joe Forsmo; daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Weigel-Shaffer; grandchildren, Kendra Forsmo, and Alex and Brett Weigel. She was preceded in death by her husband (in 2006); parents; and siblings, Arthur, Barbara and James.

Grace was a member of St. Andrew’s in Verona. Her favorite hobbies were knitting, quilting, putting together (and donating) jigsaw puzzles, as well as doing MANY word search puzzles. While a car ride in the country always brought her peace, it was her gift of providing emotional comfort through listening and offering a soft smile that will remain etched on our hearts. Her light spirit and joyful laughter will be deeply missed. Grace (mom), we love and thank you for the love you shared with us.

A private family service and burial will be held.

The family would like to thank Dr. Hahn, Nurse Christina, Pharmacist Gary, Mr. Miller, and the SSM nurses and CNAs that provided Grace support, care, and a smile over the years while residing in Verona and more recently Madison.

Grace and I were classmates at Middleton High School. We were also cousins as her Grandma Julia Kemmer and my dad, Florian Pulvermacher were brother and sister. I have not seen Grace for many years as I didn’t know where she was living. My deepest sympathy to all her family. We will keep you all in our prayers. Ann (Pulvermacher) Johnston
