My uncle Tom was a wonderful person with a kind and loving soul. There are many things I will remember about him. He was a true "naturalist". He loved nature, plants, and animals. He wrote, took pictures, created slide shows and truly appreciated the world around him. He helped many people and businesses create beautiful spaces by helping to design their gardens. He wanted nothing more than for people to see the beauty in the world around them. In addition to being a naturalist he was also a humanitarian. He cared deeply about other people, GOD and especially his family. He deeply enjoyed family gatherings and often spoke of wanting to host family events. He told me once that my brother and I were the "children he never had", and he did so much for us. He contributed financially what and when he could to support local and national agencies. Those agencies truly benefit those who are the most vulnerable. He was also the researcher, recorder and historian for understanding our family tree. He enjoyed talking about the history of our family. But could a naturalist and humanitarian also be an artist? You bet! Tom was a wonderful artist who created many beautiful paintings and drawings using many different types of mediums. He spent many times with me, when I was young, teaching me how to draw nature and different animals. He also strongly supported art with my children giving them gifts such as paper, paints, markers, and more so they could explore their artistic talents. Tom created many beautiful art pieces that will continue to be appreciated in the homes of friends and family. I could go on and on with stories but for those of you who knew Tom I want to thank you for being a part of his life because I know he appreciated being a part of yours. Tom was a very religious person and loved GOD so I strongly believe that he is living his next best life in that beautiful garden in the sky. Love always, Amy.

Tom was my great uncle and his love for art and nature was strong, we had that in common. He would always check with me to see if I made any new art lately, and when I would show him- he would always think my work was so good. That always made me happy, as he was such a good artist himself. Tom was very talented! I will always admire his beautiful garden he had behind his house and his wonderful “jungle” of plants he had inside the home. He really cared for all the elements in this world, taking good care of our planet and constantly creating throughout his life. He is missed by many
