Obituary

Waunakee-Mary Ellen Word, age 87, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society, Lodi, WI.  She was born on September 28, 1929, the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Wolford) Vore in Niles, MI.  Mary worked as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years in Niles, Michigan. She was a member of Eastern Star and Lodi United Methodist Church.  She is survived by son, Tom (Sandy Hoke) Word; daughter, Carol Word; grandchildren, Melody Melton, Charles Brattain, Bruce Word, Jewell Coquillard, Justina Reynolds, Justin Reynolds; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Stelzer, Barbara Harbaugh and a brother, Roger Vore.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Orie Allen Word; son, Rodney Word; daughters, Sue Wilds and Linda Hendershott; grandson, Everette Wilds; two brothers, Richard Vore, Ronald Vore and a son-in-law, Everette Wilds.  Private family burial will be in Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sienna Crest Assisted Living, 200 Cross St, Waunakee, WI. 53597.  Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I love you so much Grandma! You were always there for me whenever I needed you and even when I didn't know I needed you, you were there. I will miss you so much but I know that you are always with me, in my heart and my memories and watching over all of us from Heaven.
