I'm so sorry to know that Jay has passed. All good things must come to an end, but memories of him are such a wonderful legacy. When I was a little girl and spent a lot of time with Doris Wells and her family, Jay was a kind young man. I remember him in white t-shirts with the sleeves rolled up. Clearly i was a little sister of the Lake boys and probably under foot! It has been wonderful to reconnect with Jay over fb. I will miss him.

Even though John and I had been long removed from Poynette (since 1980), we would never forget Jay's valued friendship over those earlier years. He was John's classmate and a very close friend of ours. I remember the curling events that we all participated in. I remember him securing his place at the Standard station where many of the local guys would congregate and exchange sporting events news and no doubt, share in the daily gossip sessions as well! I remember all those crazy experiences that John and his classmates would tell about about those crazy high school days! What a crazy bunch! I remember Jay as a soft spoken, low key, and most of all a decent kind of guy. RIP Jay.

May Jay RIP. One of the finest curlers I had the privilege of curling with and against. A true sportsman and skilled competitor.
