Polly graduated from Lodi High School with the class of 1944. On January 26, 1950, she married Arnold “Ole” Olsen, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Lodi. Together they worked their farm in the Town of West Point raising nine children and the “famous Olsen’s sweet corn”. He preceded her in death in 2008.

Polly was one grand lady! There was always great meals cooked from scratch, the Olsen’s kitchen always smelled of homemade breads and Parker house rolls.she never bought bread from the store. Not to mention always a crock pot cooking all day with spaghetti and meatballs and her homemade canned tomato sauce. I still make it Polly’s way and I think of her every time I make it. House was always filled with laughter and many a card game was played at the kitchen table. Now her Lefse I have never had any that stacked up to her recipe. they had a huge garden and we would all work together to can tomatoes and freeze that famous Oly sweet corn! I always said she could make a meal out of dirt! Our hearts go out to the entire Olsen family. Love Sandy Mike. Nick and David
