Obituary
Lodi - Danny Robert "Dano" Markwardt, age 45, of Lodi, passed away peacefully and in the presence of friends on Saturday, March 23, 2019 after many years of health challenges.
Danny was born on November 30, 1973, in Prairie du Sac, WI to the late William and Frances (Ross) Markwardt. He graduated from Lodi High School in 1994. Throughout his life, Dano was active as a school athletic manager, volunteering countless hours to Lodi High School sports over the years. He was a member of several Regional, Sectional, and State Championship teams of which he was very proud. Dano was the Lodi Blue Devils’ greatest fan and there is not a court or a field in Lodi that will ever be the same. He will be remembered for his quick wit and one-liners. He enjoyed a good game of cards, community social events, and following his favorite sports teams. Dano was as loyal as they come. He was a longtime member of Lake Wisconsin Evangelical Free Church. His faith and church community were very important to him and he had many friends at church who he enjoyed seeing on Sundays.
Danny is survived by his brother, David J. Markwardt and friends too numerous to count in the Lodi community. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may pay their respects and celebrate Dano's life on Monday, April 1st at LAKE WISCONSIN EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, N1640 Ryan Rd., Lodi. Visitation from 6-7pm, service to follow 7-7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials made in Danny's name for a scholarship fund to be established.

Met Danny thru friends, at Willie & Teddy’s , loved him instantly, such a sweet funny guy . He called me his “girlfriend “ lol . One 4th of July he took the ferry to Merrimac, we saw him walking by our house and invited him to join our party which he did . Gone to soon , he will be missed by many. R.I.P.
