Obituary
OREGON - Leona Antionette Hornick, age 84, of Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at home. She was born on Sept 27, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Charlotte (Poteracki) Martin.
Leona graduated from Lyons Township North and South High School in LaGrange, Ill. She worked as a CNA for Our Home until her retirement.
Leona loved her dog, Dolly. She also enjoyed watching TV and movies, along with listening to Country and Western music. Elvis Presley was one of her favorites. Leona was a caring and giving person and was passionate about life.
Leona is survived by her daughters, Deborah Lee Jones, Katharine Schranz and Lori Phillips; son, Richard Baley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Norma and Marlene; and brother, Jerry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 521 Fair St., Lodi, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023. A graveside blessing will follow the Mass at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CEMETERY, Highway J, Lodi, on Saturday.
