Every time I would leave, for as long as I can remember, you’d stand at the door and wave at me until I couldn’t see you anymore. ❤️ When I became your newspaper delivery girl in high school, you left me little candies in the wreath on your door. All the hours spent in the beauty shop taking out curlers, pushing wheelchairs, and eating gumdrops. And my favorite, was laying with my head on your lap as you rubbed my ears. I love you Nana and am glad you are home.

Carol was the stability, the rock, the central thread that kept one generation connected to the next in the extended Stone families. She is irreplaceable, but her spirit will continue to bind because she will not be forgotten. She was one of those few people you always wanted to see because she made you feel good, valued and that you belonged to her. I'm going to miss that lady.

Well sister, I am the only one left out of the five is us. Such a strange feeling. I miss being able to talk to you. So many memories.....laughing until tears were running down our cheeks. Sharing many wonderful conversations. Sharing our faith was so very special. I remember when I was there for my 50th class reunion. I asked if you would paint my toenails. I was laying on the floor with my feet in your lap, when we started laughing and laughing. Tears were rolling and toenail polish missing it’s target!! I miss those times, but am grateful I had them. You were such a wonderful sister, and cherished friend. I miss you, but I know we will be together again. Until then, I shall hold you in my heart. I love you!
