I am so saddened to hear of my dearest Aunt Gladys passing but also realize what a long slow good bye it is to watch someone we love slowly go away from Us with Alzheimer's! Her family was everything to her and Gary and his family was her heart! She was one of the kindest women one could ever know and I have so many wonderful warm memories of spending time with her and Uncke Howard and Gary growing up! I so looked forward to summers knowing I would be going to the Schroeder's to spend some time with three of my very favorite relatives I ever had! Her long slow good bye is over for all that knew and loved her but her love and kindness will never be forgotten! I know she is happy now to be with her love of her life and forever partner in life her husband Howard and her trials here on earth are done! My heart is filled with sadness in the loss of my beautiful aunt but she will never be forgotten and I will carry all the beautiful memories I have of her in my heart until one day we also will meet again! My deepest sympathy to you Gary and your family! My love and prayers are with you! Diane

To Gary and family--So sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Gladys. My Mom, Audrey Haack, and I enjoyed having lunch with Gladys several years ago with cousins Carol and Glorine (Irma's daughters). Some of my earliest and fondest memories as a child are of Aunt Gladys taking us twins down to the Grande shopping and out to lunch; we so looked forward to and enjoyed those trips . She was very good to us girls. I know my mother always appreciated and was grateful for Gladys' kindness and help with us, especially as babies (when my Mom had 3 kids under age 6) and as toddlers. Gladys was kind, caring, and loving...may she rest in peace. My Mom passed away Nov. 6, so I'd like to think she and Aunt Gladys got a chance to spend some time Christmas Day together in Heaven...Take care, Anita
