Obituary

MOUNT HOREB - Lorraine S. Foye, age 87, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Ingleside Manor. She was born on August 12, 1937, in Madison, the daughter of Edward and Ruth Arneson.

Lorraine graduated from Stoughton High School.  She was united in marriage to Arthur Foye in Cross Plains. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the State of Wisconsin and retired to start a family.

Lorraine loved her family very much and always supported them. She enjoyed listening to country music, visiting downtown Madison with her girls, shopping and having fun.  Lorraine’s favorite color was purple and she loved the smell of lilacs. Every Mother’s Day she would receive a bouquet of lilacs from her loving girls.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Valerie Fantegrossi. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; daughter, Lauralee Welchert; and grandson, Joshua Foye.

Lorraine will be laid to rest at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery next to her husband, Arthur.

Mom, it's hard to believe you're gone. You were the best mother a daughter could ask for. I'll miss you so very much. I'm so grateful for all the love and comfort you brought into my life. Thank you Ingleside for all the loving care you gave to my mom. Special thanks to Dylon CNA for your extra loving care of my mom.

I never knew Lorraine or anyone else in the family except Valerie but the person Valerie is today speaks volumes about the woman her mom was. She is my friend and my heart is broken for her. Prayers and love. Shirley Carollo
