LODI-Robert Willard Davis, age 46, passed away at his home on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 after a 3 ½ year battle with cancer. He was born in Hinckley, Illinois on April 14, 1970 the son of Willard and Nancey (Challand) Davis. Robert grew up in Lodi working alongside his dad and brothers on the family farm. He graduated from Lodi High School in June of 1989. After graduation he got his degree in Diesel and Heavy Equipment from MATC- Madison. In addition to co-owning and operating Davis Bros. Farms, his genuine gift of gab made him a natural Salesman both with Raemisch Implement and later on at AC McCartney. Robert was also the owner of Spring Creek Business Center and his most recent endeavor, Heads & Tails Aquaponics. He was a member of Lake Wisconsin Evangelical Free Church. There wasn't anything that Robert could not fix. He loved 4-wheeling, downhill skiing; fun times at Crystal Lake Campground and he cherished the times spent with his children, family and friends. Robert is survived by his children, Sierra, Chance and Gage; his children's mother, Jessica (Breunig) Davis; his mother, Nancey; his brothers, Arthur (Michelle) and Scott (Rita) and their children Evan and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services will be held at LAKE WISCONSIN EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, N1640 Ryan Road, Lodi at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016 with Pastor Scott Larson presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 7 pm. and again on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Due to parking lot construction at the church, Pastor request visitors to use the lower lot and leave the upper lot for family and visitors with handicap or health issues that can't use steps. The family would like to thank Melissa Ballweg, Jessie Frey, Rick and Jill Miller, Alan Treinen and all the caregivers that have been there for Robert. It was a blessing to see Rob give his life to Christ and get baptized in Lake Wisconsin. His testimony was truly inspiring and it was great to get to know him while we attended Lake Wisconsin Church. My prayers go out to his family. It's also comforting to know he is with His Lord in glory!!

I would like to extend our sympathy from the Trappe family. Although I cannot say that we have known Robert very long, the short time I have known him and from the stories I hear from his friends and people of this park he was one of the kindest and hardest work man any child would be proud to call dad! When we bought Crystal Lake Campground Robert came up to me and gave me his gratitude for stepping up and taking on this great challenge and if I needed anything to just let him know. I truly appreciate the help of the neighbors and Robert has always been willing to help and for that he will be greatly missed by many. God Bless and Fly High! The Trappe Family.

So sorry to hear of Robert's passing. I worked for your family at the feed mill in Lodi and enjoyed spending time with all of you. Robert will be dearly missed and truly a friend to all. Please know that he is at peace now and with you always watching over you. My deepest sympathies to you all.
