OREGON-Patricia A. "Pat" Wardell, age 78, of Oregon, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, at home. She was born on Jan. 21, 1938, the daughter of John and Viola McGuire. Patricia married Robert Wardell on July 5, 1958 in Washington DC. She enjoyed working for Dane County Highway Department for 25 years. Pat found joy in riding horses for many years. She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Jacqueline (Rick) Symdon; granddaughter, Heather Symdon (Brandon Anderson); grandson, Ryan (Kristina) Symdon; great-grandson, Brooks Anderson; sister, Eileen Dax; and many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy; daughter, Jody; and 13 siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, with Fr. Gary Wankerl presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Monday. Memorials may be gifted in Pat's name to American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer's Association. My sympathies to the Wardell family And extended families. Pat was a very kind woman. I've known her a long time. She would always take time to say hi to me whenever I ran into her. She was a genuine, sincere, kind person. She always had a smile and laugh every time our paths crossed. My condolences. Jim Snow.

To Pat's family. So sorry to hear that Pat passed away. She was a generous person and had a strong spirit.. Always upbeat no matter what. That is what I remember.
