Obituary

MADISON-Lee Patrick O'Kroley, age 61, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Sept 22, 2016, at the VA Hospice Center. Lee was born in Madison on Jan. 3, 1955, the son of Donna (Sheilds) and the late Larry O'Kroley. He attended Madison East High school. After high school Lee enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1972-1974. He married the love of his life Patricia (Barnhart) on Sept. 10, 1977. Lee enjoyed camping, watching the Badgers, Packers, and Nascar races, but especially loved the time spent with his family and friends. He was very sociable, he could start a conversation with anyone. Lee is survived by his mother, Donna; wife, Patricia; their three sons, Gregg (Crystal), Eric, and Chad (Amy) O'Kroley; grandchildren, Colton and Kenzie; brothers, Mike (Nancy), Larry (Linda), Tom (Jeanne), John (Kathy Jo) and Joe O'Kroley; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry in 2007; and daughter, Kimberly in 1983. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be gifted in Lee's name to Home Health United HospiceCare or William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital.
