Scheel, Richard A. "Rick" STOUGHTON- Richard Allen "Rick" Scheel, age 67 of Stoughton, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016. He was born to Edna (Piquette) and Leo Scheel on March 6. 1949. Rick grew up on a farm near McFarland on the lands currently known as the Yahara Hills Golf Course. The family moved to a farm near Stoughton when Rick started high school. He graduated from Stoughton High School in 1967. On August 26, of the same year he married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Skough. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this past month. Rick was a full time driver/pumper operator and volunteer for the Stoughton Fire Department for 34 years. During that time he also drove semi for Milfab, delivering and off-loading wood shavings to local farmers. After retirement he enjoyed making deliveries for Dvorak Landscape of Janesville. Rick enjoyed quiet time at home with Marilyn, gatherings with family and friends, motorcycling, fishing, car trips, playing the slots, and shaking dice with his dice buddies. Rick is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his two sons, Rodney (Rhonda) Scheel and Brian (Dana) Scheel; five very special grandchildren, Austin, Zachary, Graham, Brooke, and Sydney; and three siblings, Nancy Loftus, Bob Scheel, and Ron (Nan) Scheel. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy 51 at Jackson St., Stoughton. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, and also on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
