Obituary

Marlon Rayvon Cystrunk, age 38, was called home unexpectedly to our Almighty Savior Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. He was born on Jan. 21, 1978, in St. Louis, MO to his loving mother, Maydean Elizabeth Williams and father, Gregory Griggs. He was preceded in death by his beautiful grandmother, Julia, who cultivated his love of God and continued throughout life in spirituality. Marlon was and will continue to be a patriarch of his family, and was the oldest of nine children. He is survived by his mother Maydean and eight brothers and sister, MarKeisha, Brian, Michael, Ellis, Joshua, Ashley, Lesley and Phillip, all of who adored and looked up to him for guidance. He also leaves behind eleven beautiful children whom he was devoted and loved beyond measure, Michael Grayson (Jameika Grayson), Joshua Gates (Quinn Gates), Myana and Ajarae Cystrunk (Kerensa Lacy), Marlon, Kiarah, Trayvon, Anniyah, and Rhylon Cystrunk (Elizabeth Marshall), Carlon Cystrunk (Brooke Castillo), and Travary Cystrunk (Jamie Kingsland). As well as one cherished grandson, Micah Grayson (Michael Grayson). He also leaves behind an extended family who loved him immensely that includes aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, as well an array of friends that will miss him tremendously as the impact he made during his time here, and the one that he left will continue to grow and thrive within us all. Although we may not understand why our Angel was taken from us so soon, we bestow our trust within the hands of God. We will preserve our memories as we continue life without him, knowing and finding comfort that within this very moment he is without pain of this world, and he will be carried and live within our hearts forever. As we continue our journey of life, we will pray for one another and build upon each for strength during this difficult time, as we've lost a very endearing part of our lives. Marlon was a son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, leader. A force to be reckoned with, but most of all... a gift that was taken far to soon. Marlon, we promise to treasure and love you forever in Jesus name Amen. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Memorials may be made to his mother Maydean Williams.
