Harold Arthur Stieve, Sr.

Mr. Stieve was a wonderful man. I grew up going into his Mobil station, and purchased my first 4 Christmas Trees for my new family from his lot. He was always smiling, always positive and even after I grew up and moved out of the neighborhood, on the rare occasions that I would stop in when visiting the neighborhood, he'd always ask how Mom & Dad were. I've missed him over the years and will continue to miss him. My condolences to his family, friends and former staff of Stevie's Mobil. This man left an impression on me that I will always carry with me.

My first job as a kid back in about 1965 was to ride up with Hal to his Christmas tree farm near Westfield and plant saplings for the day. Later I had the pleasure of working at "the station." Many many good memories in the old days (before self service stations came along). Thank you Hal & Art for hiring me and for 6 years of employment. It was a great learning experience for not only maintaining cars, but also lessons in life. Of course deer season was a special time for Hal and his passion for the hunt was fun to watch. RIP, Mr. Stieve.

It was an honor to care for Harold during this difficult time. He always loved to tease us during his cares. Harold had a delightful spirit and warm heart. He is atvpeace now. Linda Burgess
