Obituary
ROCKFORD, ILL./MADISON-A gentle soul has left this world, to find peace in the arms of the Lord. Andrew James Anderson, age 28, passed away quietly with his family by his side, on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016. Andrew was born on April 23, 1988, in Madison, the son of Arthur "Andy" and Sally Anderson. He graduated from La Follette High School in 2006. Andrew shared his golden heart the best he knew how, through hugs and weekly text messages to his mom to say he loved her, through spending time with his sisters, Angie and Amy, who were always looking out for him, and through getting together with his dad, step¬mom, Barb and step-brothers, Cliff and Chet for lunch or dinners. He loved being with his family and friends, including his girlfriend, Andrea and room-mate, Mike, as well as posting on Facebook and calling friends. Andrew was very mechanically inclined, he could fix anything. He was a Packers fan, enjoyed frisbee golf, spending time on the lake fishing, and playing with his buddy and nephew, Jameson. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Daisha and Sammie. Andrew is survived by his mom, Sally Van Lysel; dad, Andy (Barb) Anderson; sisters, Angie (Paul) Bellmore and Amy (Bryan) Bellows; nephew and nieces, Jameson, Ava and Annalise Bellows; step-brothers and friends, Cliff and Chet Essie; grandmothers, Janice Van Lysel and Patricia Anderson; uncles, Mike (Rosalie) Van Lysel, Steve (Karen) Van Lysel; aunt, Nancy (Tom) Lund; cousins, Neil, Matt, Mike, Matt and Amanda; girlfriend, Andrea Denman and her family who loved Andrew as a son; his friend and room-mate, Mike Wallin; step-grandparents, Eugene and Mildred Wackett and families; and a host of friends too many to mention, but you know who you are. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Arthur "Art" Anderson and Marvin Van Lysel. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 10 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for a memorial to be determined at a later time. Andrew, through thick and thin, we loved you, and always will. You are in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Until we meet again. Peace be with you. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
