MADISON/CORINTH, MISS.- Jean A. (Guelzow) Redders, age 72, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Dec. 12, 1943, in Belmont, Wis., the daughter of Fred and Adeline (Weichmann) Guelzow. Jean grew up in Madison and graduated from East High School. She resided in Madison until retiring from the University of Wisconsin, Department of Education Placement, before moving south to Corninth, Miss. Jean is survived by her husband, Leonard Redders; daughter, Michelle (Tim) Homann; step-children, Jared (Tina) Redders and Missy (Jake) Stauffacher; grandchildren, Alexis and Karley Homann, Austin, Hailey and Emma Redders and Luke Stauffacher; three brothers, Sanford, Dave (Leanna) and Keith (Wanda); sister, Vicki (Tyrone) Powell; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Annette Jackson, Pastor Duane and Connie Moore of Abundant Life in Bolivar, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim; and sister, Joanne (Martin). Jean truly was a gift from God, and a friend to all. She was the most sweet and caring woman one could ever know. Jean enjoyed gardening, taking trips to Door County, spending time with her grandchildren, walking with her dog, Cupcake, and found delight in God's natural creations. Most of all Jean loved the Lord and had the pleasure of leading many friends and family to the Lord purely by the way she lived her life. Her life was a reflection of God's unfailing love. She always put others first and was gifted with a servant's heart. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 1 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare or Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Jean was always a great source of support to her family giving unselfishly to her parents when they were still living. She led by example in her faith in Jesus. Jean will truly be missed until we meet again. Deepest condolences to Len and Michelle. Keith & Wanda Guelzow

Jean was full of love for anyone she met. She instilled faith and the love of Jesus in the people she met. Jean was a good friend and a dear sister in the Lord. Jean was such a great person with a beautiful soul. I always enjoyed our chats and she never put herself first in any situation. She cared about everyone that she ever met and if you were her friend, you were a friend for life. I remember the 1950s car Lenny bought just for you when you first became ill; he was so excited to take you for a ride in it with the top down and to listen to music. Your faith was deep and helped you get through many trying situations. Today, heaven has gained a very special angel. With my deepest sympathy. ~Kathy Kelm
