Obituary
MADISON-Marie Neupert, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at Serenity House in DeForest. She was born on April 6, 1928, in Madison, the daughter of Katherine and Matt Marty. Marie worked at Abstract and Title/Dane County Title companies from the age of 18 until retirement. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time at the family cottage and hosting family gatherings. She is finally at peace after struggling with dementia for many years. Marie is survived by her children, Barbara (David) Greathouse of Sun Prairie, Patricia Lashore of Madison, Jeanne Mack of St. Michael Minn., David (Kerry) of Madison and James (Candy) of Hernando, Fla.; six grandchildren, D'Angelo, Anthony, Maria, Marissa, Logan and Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Cyrus and Hazel; sister, Lila Spangler of Madison; sisters-in-law, Mary Marty of Madison and Marlene Evenson of Cambridge; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert (Bob) Neupert; parents; sister, Ruth Woods; brother, Frederick "Fricky" Marty; brothers-in-law, Ralph "Gene" Woods and Harry Spangler; and nephew, Richard Woods. Visitation will take place at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

What a beautiful picture of your mother and grandmother. She looks so happy and vibrant. Even a life well lived and an anticipated death is a tremendous loss. We are so sorry.
