MADISON/MCFARLAND/STOUGHTON-Joseph S. McNamee, age 74, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016. He was born in Oshkosh on March 6, 1942, the son of Thomas and Florence (Bushman) McNamee. Joseph served in the U. S. Coast Guard from 1960-1964. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 30 years. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and working at Door Creek Golf Course. Joseph is survived by his wife, Sandra (McClain) McNamee; daughter, Jolene (Joel) Ibeling of Cambridge; son, Jeff (Britt) McNamee of Salem, Ore.; grandchildren, Sam and Olivia Ibeling, Ruby and Simon McNamee, Kyle and Jake Christensen; sisters, Betty (Gib) Bennett, Mary (Don) Lyons, and Annette McNamee; and brother, Mike (Irene) McNamee. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harland McNamee, Patrick McNamee, and Paul McNamee; and twin sister, Josephine Wise. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, with a luncheon to follow. Many years go, in 1966 and 1967, Joe and I shared a boss. I worked at Shakey's West in Middleton while Joe worked at Shakey's East. Very nice man who enjoyed people. Too early gone...
