Obituary
MADISON- Donnie Ray "Don" Vedder, age 62, passed away on Aug. 14, 2016. He was born on April 21, 1954, in Elmira, N.Y., the son of Donald and Helen (Sams) Vedder. Don Served in the United States, Army. He worked for the State of Wisconsin, Department of Public Instruction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. He loved his animals, NASCAR racing, gardening, and watching football. Donnie is survived by his mother, Helen; five siblings, Rhonda Vedder, Wayne (Charito) Vedder, Patricia (Mark) Wille, Grace Rousseau, and Susan Vedder; three nephews, Aaron (Elieta) Vedder, Jonathan Wille, and Wesley Wille; one niece, Kayla (Peter) Alewine; and grandniece Aerien Alewine. A tribute to Donnie Ray's life will be held at GOODMAN COMMUNITY CENTER, 149 Waubesa St., Madison, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, with military honors being conducted at 4 pm. I just saw this, having lost touch of Don during this summer, and I stumbled upon his notice. Don and I were good friends growing up, and touched base in recent years. To his family, I offer my condolences.
