Donald DeWayne Jenness

OREGON-Donald D. "Donny" Jenness, age 92, of Oregon, was reunited with his wife on their 70th wedding anniversary on Monday, Aug. 29, 2016. He was born on June 5, 1924, in Barron, Wis., the son of William and Bessie Jenness. He married Audrey Lund on Aug. 29, 1946. Donny was a brick layer/mason since the age of 16, retiring from the University of Wisconsin. He was a collector of model cars, sombreros and antiques. Donny enjoyed spending time at flea markets, car shows and auctions. He will be remembered as a prankster with a great sense of humor. Donny is survived by his daughters, Stephany "Steffie" Powers and Jackilyn "Jackie" (Ken) Adams; five grandchildren, Wendy Powers, Eileen Powers, Lynn Powers, Jessica Adams and Kurt Adams; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Caleb, Audrey, Dominic and Breanna Adams; brother, Derald (Judy) Jenness; sisters-in-law, Carol Jenness and Gloria (Gordy) Schofield; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Audrey; two brothers, Leo and Claire Jenness; and son-in-law, Harvey Powers. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, with Pastor Karl Hermanson presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
