Robert Frederick Rau

SAUK CITY/FOX LAKE- Robert Rau, age 79, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Villa at Middleton Village.   He was born on May 14, 1937, the son of Ernest and Eva (Gritzmacher) Rau.  Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He was united in marriage to Florence Ballweg on November 9, 1963 in Roxbury.  Robert was employed with Edward Kraemer & Sons for over 35 years.  He had a variety of interests including cycling, four wheeling and bowling but truly treasured the most the time he spent with his family.  Robert is survived by his children, Judy (Paul) Spoerl of Greenville, Barbara (Scott) Breunig of Prairie du Sac, Brenda (Bryan) Schwarz of North Freedom, and Brian (Janet) Rau of Madison; four grandchildren, Jessica Breunig, Jordan Schwarz, Allison and Katelyn Rau; a sister Joyce Indermuehl and two sisters-in-law, Florence Hosig and Joann Rau.  He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
