Obituary

MADISON- Kenneth W. Williams, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016. He was born on March 2, 1924, in Flint, Mich., to Floyd and Elizabeth Williams. Ken spent his younger years in Michigan. In 1940, he moved to San Diego, Calif., where he resided until 1943 when he joined the U.S. Army Airforce. During WWII, he spent two years in Italy and surrounding areas. After being honorably discharged in 1945, he returned to Madison and married Betty Spies on Nov. 3, 1945. Ken worked for Oscar Mayer as foreman of the electrical department until his retirement in 1985. Ken loved all sports and was an avid golfer and bowler. He also had a good time traveling to many interesting places, including the Badger Honor Flight. Ken is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Lynne (Gary) Jenson; grandchildren, Alex (Kyla) Jenson, Ashley (Justin) Myers, Tyler and Megan Williams; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Bradley in 2006. Private services will be held at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

The volunteers, flight team and board of Badger Honor Flight mourn the loss of their hero, Ken Williams. We are thankful for his military service and honored to have served him on his trip to Washington, D.C. in April 2011.

Dear Lynne and family we are so sorry for your loss. He served our country proudly and created a wonderful Family!
