James Carl Rolli

SUN PRAIRIE/LYNDON STATION/MARSHALL-James Carl "Jim" Rolli, age 74, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at home. He was born on March 30, 1942, in Baraboo, the son of Alfred and Louise (Mellenberger) Rolli. He married Norma Jean Kalish on Oct. 21, 1961, in Cottage Grove. Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1961 until 1967. He grew up in McFarland and retired from Joe Daniels Construction Co. where he was a truck driver. The garage was Jim's second home where he loved working on cars and having a beer or two. "I only had 2." "What happened in the garage stayed in the garage." He also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Family Feud. Jim is survived by his wife, Norma; daughter, Brenda (Tim) Karls of Cottage Grove; son, Scott (Vicki) Rolli of DeForest; grandson, Austin Karls; granddaughters, Kirsten Rolli and Aly Karls; brother, Rich (Pat) Rolli; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; and his cat, Snoopy. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and two sisters. A Celebration of Life will be held at DOUBLEDAYS, 4586 Baxter Rd., Cottage Grove from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., on Saturday, July 23, 2016. A private burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens.
