Charlotte J. Johnson

DURAND/RACINE/MADISON- Charlotte J. Johnson, age 69 of Durand, Wis., passed away on August 3, 2016. She was born on March 20, 1947, in Mississippi, the daughter of Louis and Allie Norton. She married Roosevelt Johnson in September of 1968 in Los Angeles, Calif. Charlotte was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and a great big sister. She was nurturing, patient, and kind. She devoted much of her time to her family. She enjoyed fishing, bird watching, reading, and learning. She was giving to all, but stayed private. Charlotte was known to be sweet as apple pie, but tough as nails. She is survived by her children, Julius Johnson, Darryl Norton, and Keith Johnson; grandchildren, Darryl Norton Jr., Karlyl Johnson, Kalynn Johnson, and Elijah Johnson; great-granddaughter, Ja'Niyah; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Ora Norton and Ruby Norton. It was Charlottes wish for the family to come together and live peacefully.
