Obituary
COTTAGE GROVE-Jean L. Bulman, age 90, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Aster Assisted Living. She was born on Oct. 24, 1925, in Portland, Wis., the daughter of Edwin and Edna (Jordan) Herman. Jean married Neil Bulman on July 21, 1951. She attended Madison Business School. Jean delivered the Capital Times to rural Cottage Grove for many years during the 1960s-1970s. She later worked at the U.S. Post Office in Madison and Cottage Grove. Jean enjoyed gardening, mowing, and was an amazing quilter. She spent countless weekends dancing, but especially treasured the time she shared with family. Jean was a long time member of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church and an auxiliary member of legion Post No. 248. Jean is survived by her children, Kay (Joe) Adamczyk, Mary (Phil) Adler, and Lee (Lori) Bulman; grandchildren, Brian (Angie) Adamczyk, Nicole (Mat) Matarrese, Michelle Adamczyk and Eric (Christine) Adler, Kristin Adler, Luke (Jess) Bulman, Aly Bulman and Gina Bulman; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Lilly Matarrese and baby boy Bulman on the way; brother, Bud (Marilyn) Herman; sister-in-law, Marge Herman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Bob, Jim, Don, and Arlene; and sister-in-law, Phoebe Bakken. Funeral services will be held at BRYN MAWR PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 229 N. Main St., Cottage Grove, at 3 p.m., on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Burial will be at Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday. The family would like to thank the staff of Agrace HospiceCare and Aster Assisted Living for their wonderful care for Jean. Aunt Jean was fun loving and generous. She shared good humor, good vegetables and flowers, and her sewing. Her quilting is exemplary. She was an important presence in a young girl's life. Rest in peace, dear lady. Love, Ginger
