Gladiola Timlin

MADISON-Gladiola "Glady" Timlin, age 76, passed away at Avalon Assisted Living on Saturday, June 4, 2016. She was born in Paia, Maui, Hawaii, on June 28, 1940, the daughter of Liberty Milikaa and Edward Puhi. After the death of her parents, Glady was raised by her grandparents, Rose Kohokoluna and Kala (Sonny) Milikaa. She came to the mainland when her brother, Carl, attended college in Milwaukee. There she met the love of her life, Gerald "Gerry" Timlin. Glady and Gerry were married on Aug. 16, 1974. They were blessed with one son, Mark. Glady was employed by Cher-make Sausage Company in Manitowoc. After retirement, the family moved to Madison. Glady enjoyed eating out and drinking her favorite sodas, Root beer and Dr. Pepper. She loved taking afternoon and evening strolls with Gerry. Glady is survived by her husband, Gerry; son, Mark; granddaughter, Mia; brother, Carl W. Puhi; and a host of friends in Manitowoc and Madison. She is further survived by her caretakers at Avalon Assisted Living; and a dear friend, JoAnn Russell. Glady was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Laverne; and her grandparents. A memorial service will be held at FISHER-TAFT (QUAKER) APARTMENTS, 2025 Taft St., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016.
