Yognaine Chandra Shekar Sharma

MADISON-Yognaine (Yogi, Shane, Shekar) Sharma, age 56, of Madison, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on April 19, 1960, in Guyana, South America, the son of Bodhkumar Sharma and Gaitree Jagpaul. Yognaine married Venus Sharma in 1982, in Georgetown, Guyana. After High School, he moved on to the Guyana Police Academy. Yognaine worked as a homicide detective where he was considered one of the best. After moving to the United States, he worked as a night manager at Copps and a stocker at Wal-Mart. Yognaine is survived by his wife, Venus; mother, Gaitree; daughters, Parveen (Omanand) Singh, Navita (Jarrett Yeargin) Sharma, and Ghavita (Inshan Nazeer) Sharma; sisters, Amrita (Jacob) Adams and Geeta Sharma; grandchildren, Aden, Arianna, Alex, Amelia, Ray-Ella, and Charles Jr.; nieces and nephews, Charles, Olly, Kim, and Esan; and aunt and uncle, Devi Jagpaul and Surendrapaul Sharma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; brother, Raj; brother-in-law, Charlie; and sister-in-law, Anna. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016, with Chaplain Steve Zwettler presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 and from 1 p.m until the time of the service on Friday. Yognaine will be greatly missed by his cousins, Darmin, Sado, Shoba, and Satish; family, the Persaud, Dhanai and Azimulla families; co-workers and friends, and his favorite "boy", Dhanesh Persaud. Yognaine was very adored and there will be a big gap in the hearts that he was able to touch in his short life, especially his family. ~Live life to the fullest, "Eat whatever you want".
