Wilma C Behr

WINDSOR/KENOSHA-Wilma (Quam) Behr, age 100, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie, Okla. She was born on Dec. 11, 1915, in Ableman, Wis., the daughter of Fred and Lena Kopf, and grew up in Rock Springs, Wis. She was the oldest of her siblings. Wilma married Andrew Quam in 1942, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. Andrew passed away in 1967. In 1983, she married Dan Behr at Immanuel Baptist Church in Kenosha. Wilma and Dan enjoyed watching sports of all kinds together and going on trips and outings with their families. She was a faithful member of Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Madison and Immanuel Baptist Church in Kenosha. Wilma is survived by two children, Byron (Elsa) Quam and Sharon (Shri) Satwalekar; a son-in-law, Doug Lueck; three stepchildren, Melvin (Lorraine) Behr, Elayne (Andy) Stipanuk and Jan (Ron) Housaman all of Kenosha; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; many step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren; as well as many other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Andrew and Dan; infant daughter, Lori; daughter, Patricia Lueck; and six brothers; and one sister. A Funeral Service will be held at BETHANY EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 301 Riverside Dr., Madison, 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Burial will be at Windsor Cemetery in the Town of Windsor. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Bethany Evangelical Free Church. Special thanks to Sharon and Shri for opening their home to "mom" and providing special care for Wilma for the last five years.
