Obituary
MIDDLETON-Rose M. (Greiber) Stubbe, age 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2016, with her loving family by her side after a long illness with cancer. She was born in Madison, on September 9, 1946, the daughter of Ralphael and Florence (Kroncke) Greiber. Rose was a 1964 graduate of Lodi High School and worked at the Bruce Company as a cashier for over 25 years. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, James W. Stubbe on June 29, 1968 and they shared 48 wonderful years together. Rose had a variety of interests including card clubs and Bridge with her friends, but she truly treasured most the time she spent with her family. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church since 1969. Rose is survived by her loving husband James; son, Brian (Jackie); daughter, Janeen; granddaughter, Nicole; sister, Charlene (Marvin) Zantow; sister-in-law, Marilyn Greiber; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Charles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ian Robins and staff of the UW Carbone Center, nurse, Terry and staff of Agrace HospiceCare for all of the great care and support given to Rose and her family. Rose was always so upbeat and positive, full of compliments and encouraging when we were simply customers of the Bruce Co., but she was even more special as a co-worker several years later! We shared many laughs, as my go-to person with any problems, and nothing seemed to be too big to resolve. We shared September birthdays and same birth year, thius we celebratied our Medicare birthdays together at work. Jim was my daughters teacher at Middleton and a neighbor. I think of you often Jim, and my heart goes out to you, Janeen and family.

The world lost a kind, caring, loyal, fun-loving person on June 17, 2016. Rose will always be remembered for her smile, laughter and graciousness. My heart goes out to all of her family. May many happy memories sustain you all at this sad time. She was very special to me and all those she knew. She left the world a better place by being here.
