Donald C. Fingerson

MADISON–Donald C. Fingerson, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. He was born on Jan. 30, 1926, in Dodgeville, the son of Henry and Mae (Lee) Fingerson. Donald graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1944. He was united in marriage to Lillian Larson for 36 years. Donald worked as an environmental supervisor for WPS Insurance Company for 26 years. He loved to build things and was always "tinkering" with projects. Donald loved his family and taught them to follow their path with grace and dignity. Donald is survived by his children, Deborah Belanger, Karla Fowler, Scott Fingerson and Michael Fingerson Sr.; step-daughter, Ingrid Gulliksen; six grandchildren, Jason Havey, Brittany Belanger, Chad Fingerson, Amber Fingerson, Michael Fingerson Jr., and Katrina Fingerson; sisters, Helen Christopher and Gail Johnson; brothers, Luther Fingerson and Merrill Fingerson; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillian in 1997; brother, Gerald; and brothers-in-law, Marvin Christopher and Sherman Johnson. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 10 a.m., on Monday, July 11, 2016. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
