Vickie, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We are so sorry for your loss and remember Ken just a few days ago pulling over to the side of the road to take a picture of the orange-colored sunset. He was funny too, often making fun when he and Tater went on their walks. With Deepest Sympthy, David & Sabrina John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who soever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

All the memories of growing up together keep popping into my head, so many memories. I was always trying to catch up, but he was always ahead. He was a GREAT role model, and I was lucky enough to follow in his footsteps. As our lives evolved, we still helped each other, whenever help was needed. If I needed a hand, one call, and I could depend on his arrival to help out on my many projects. Playing ball, racing bikes, doing chores on the farm, rides to and from school, wrestling in high school, all the memories of growing up together keep coming back into my head. Our trip out West with Vicky, Sue, and sister Bernie, and the mad rush back for brother Dave's wedding! We had a blast! Drinking on a fake ID (he helped me get). The time he ran uncle Joe's car into a windmill, because Dennis Zander grabbed the wheel, as he put it? The time he fell down the silo chute and got cold clocked, while I was milking cows, I thought sure he was dead, when he came around, I thought, now there is one tough son of a gun! I went to school because I had to, he went to school because he loves to learn, and eventually he got me to see his was the better path. Always one step ahead. I Love him so much, it really hurts to lose him. Rest in peace big brother! You have earned your wings!

Our sympathies on your loss. We knew Ken in the Jaycees in the 70s and saw him intermittently since. Always enjoyed his outgoing personality and willingness to help.. He was made a Jaycee senator and I spoke at the ceremony. Recall that one of the kids was born the same time as ours.. All the best.

Dad always made time for myself and my brother, no matter how many other tasks needed done. He seemed to know time is precious for the short time we have. I am blessed to have him as my dad, as well as to have those around me continue to share their great experiences they received from him. Dad, I will see you again when God calls me to come home.
