Helen was one of the nicest people I have ever met. Always soft spoken and thoughtful. My fondest memory is a tip to Florida with Helen and Candy and Helen's sister and mom I think. We ran down walkways trying to catch an earlier flight on our 3 or 4 leg extra cheap journey to visit Helen's niece in Fort Meyers. No golf cart transportation for us just fast feet. Ended up not getting in any earlier as we had to wait on the last leg of the trip anyway. What a trip!

Helen has always been an important part of my life. She was my Godmother and always remembered me with special gifts and /or greetings at Christmas, for my birthday, and wedding anniversary. Even this past Christmas she sent a card and a newsy, handwritten note.. My fondest memory that I have of her is from December 1985 when she opened her home to me and my dog. For several days. My dog had to go to the UW Veterinary Hospital for special examination. While the dog spent a few days at the hospital, Helen and I shared family stories, baked cookies, went to visit other family members, etc. We had a wonderful time together, and I have always been grateful for her generous hospitality.
