The Laylan's have been a part of my family since I can remember. Rachel was the kindest, sweetest, most classy woman I have ever known. She was always dressed so nice, hair done, and she ALWAYS had her lipstick on. Love to you all, she will be greatly missed. Here is she is holding my second born, Max. ~David, Amanda, Jake and Max Geller

We are all diminished by Rachel's passing. She gave us humor, she gave us grace, she gave us forebearance. And she will be so missed. Steve Wajda

My deepest sympathy Todd, Jack, Kris, Katie and all who loved Rachel. The world has lost a beautiful and smart LADY. She was such a dear friend and I will miss her always. We had so many good times together, going out to lunch (her favorite, sharing a bowl of mussels, at Jac's), movies, shopping, dinners at the lake, sleepovers and talking about books, cooking, gardening, WI sports and our kids.
St. Patrick's Day will not be the same. Love, Kathy Larson

I write mainly on behalf of my wife Anne Scott, who is now in memory care ad unable to respond, though I too remember Rachel over the many years that she and Anne worked together at the Madison Civic Center. We wish to express our condolences to Rachel's family. I have fond recollections of how well Rachel and Anne interacted, how thoughtful Rachel was in so many small but generous ways, and how much she contributed to the smooth running of the Civic Center Box Office. I know I can speak for Anne in saying that Rachel will be remembered in our prayers and thoughts. Charles Scott
