Obituary

MADISON-James A. "Jim" Mork, age 55, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on Oct. 20, 1960, in Mondovi, the son of Melvin and Grace (Ford) Mork. He married Beverly Carman on Aug. 13, 2012, in Madison. On Jan. 10, 2012, Jim was diagnosed with Stage IV Small Cell Lung Cancer. His strength and dedication to help others was evident in his willingness to be a part of an experimental treatment plan. He endured five years of non-operable cancer and his bravery should benefit numerous patients. Cooking, fishing, hunting, Nascar and football were all important to Jimmy, but most important to him was family and his dog, Mya. Jim is survived by his wife, Beverly; brother, Roger (Debbie) Mork of Madison; sisters, Joan (Terry) Enge of Waunakee and Mary (Denny) Conway of Sun Prairie; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Larry. According to Jim's wishes, private family services will be held at his favorite place, the family cabin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. A special thanks to Agrace HospiceCare and UW Carbone Cancer Center for their care, compassion and dignity they showed Jim.
