Dennis Delbert Romeo, II

MADISON- Dennis "Denny" Romeo rode into eternity doing one of the things he loved in life. He brought joy, kindness and happiness to all he came in contact with. Denny's biggest passion in life was his family. He was always there for everyone. Denny attended sporting events, scouting activities, camping, and was very attached to his outside grill and would cook for his family. Evenings were spent watching movies at home all curled up in blankets on the sofa, while eating tons of homemade popcorn. Another one of Denny's passions was music. He could pick up almost any instrument and teach himself to play it, as well as being the meanest air guitarist. Denny's laughter was contagious and he was never shy of giving the best bear hugs. Denny was one of the most intelligent people one could ever meet. His sense of humor was enormous which was a trait he handed down to his children. Everyone turned to Denny when they needed advice or when they just needed to receive his love and guidance. He was a family warrior! Denny is survived by his loving wife, Kristin Romeo; his daughters, Kayla (Alex) Knishka, and Janelle Romeo; sons, Alex and Marcus Romeo; granddaughter, Lennea Knishka; father, Dennis Romeo; mother, Judy Whitehorse; mother in-law, Cyndie and Steve Hisel; sisters, Heather Hillmer, Jessica Goff, and Kaitlyn Romeo; brother, Christopher (Samantha) Hillmer; brothers in-law, Dustin and Tyler Sorum; and sister-in-law, Caylea Sorum. Denny had several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and endless amounts of friends that will cherish his friendship forever. Funeral services will be held at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 220 S. Main St., DeForest, at 2 p.m., on Saturday, June 11, 2016, with John Cloud III, the Rev. Samuel Starnes, and Pastor Sue Beadle concelebrating. Visitation will be held at the church from 12 noon until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers please send donations to church to be given to the Romeo family.
