Katherine Rock

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.-Katherine M. Rock went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, in Albuquerque, N.M., after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Russell Rock. Together they raised five sons in Madison, and were a part of the business community on the East side for many years. They retired happily to Florida for over 15 years. Katherine moved to Albuquerque, N.M. three years after her husband's death and spent 10 years near family in the high desert by the mountains she loved. The youngest child of Irving and Helga, Katherine was also preceded in death by her brothers, Don and John; and her sister, June. She was a tough Norwegian and had a classic beauty her whole life. She loved family, good food, exercise and was an avid sports fan. She loved her Cubs and Go Pack Go! Mom also loved the way her Sandia Mountains turned pink at sunset. Last summer Katherine celebrated her 90th Birthday in Albuquerque with family and friends, including all five sons. She lived a good, long life and will be missed by those she leaves behind, five sons, Bob ( Kitty) of Wisconsin, Roger (Holly) of Georgia, Ralph (Cindy) of Florida, Kevin (Vicki) of New Mexico, and Russ, also of New Mexico. She is further survived by, eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
