Edgar Harry Tachon

OREGON-Edgar Tachon, age 91, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016, at his home. He was born on July 28, 1924, in Perry Township. Edgar married Agnes Skattum on March 17, 1951, in Argyle. They had two children, Steve and Kristi. Edgar was a very proud farmer in the Town of Oregon. He and Agnes loved the farm life and Edgar often said he would never do anything else. They were faithful members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Oregon. Edgar is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Wayne) Vander Ark of Oregon; two grandchildren, Taylor and Tanya; brother, Gordon of Belleville; sister, Driscilla (Gaylord) Carr of Lodi; sister-in-law, Irene Skattum; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Roscile Meier of Waunakee. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Agnes; son, Steve; sister, Roscelle; twin brother, Harry (Jeannette); sister-in-law, Delores Tachon and Lucille Schaber; brother-in-law, Harland (Mary) Skattum; and beloved pet, Molly. Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E Netherwood St., Oregon, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, May 26, 2016. Burial will be held at Prairie Mound Cemetery with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
