Richard David Thayer

MIDDLETON-Richard D. Thayer, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at Richland Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on January 27, 1963, the son of Susan (Syse)Thayer and Rodney (Marie) Thayer. Rick graduated from Middleton High School, class of '81. He was currently employed with TruGreen and delivered the Wisconsin State Journal, prior to that he worked over 20 years at Marshall Erdman's in Waunakee.His greatest pride and joy were his four children, watching his boys play hockey and his girls playing softball. He also enjoyed hunting and watching football.Rick is survived by his children Brett, Brandon, Brynn and their mother Michelle; his daughter Taylor and her mother Laura; his parents, brother Scott (Jill) and their children Nick and Zoe; Aunts; Sonja Ivanovich, Sally Zentner (Godmother) and Uncle; Randy (Carol) Thayer.He was preceded in death by his grandparents.Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday May 9, 2016 from 4pm until 7pm at Gunderson-West, 7435 University Ave. Middleton with a prayer gathering at 7:00pm.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his children.Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com
