Charles Patrick McGuigan

MADISON-Charles "Pat" McGuigan, age 81, of Madison, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 30, 1934, in Woodman, Wis., the son of Donald and Irene (Coultas) McGuigan. Pat married Sally Howes on July 16, 1960, in Madison, at St. Raphael's Cathedral. He was a warehouseman for Hanson Storage and Reynolds Transfer for nearly 40 years. Pat loved fishing, especially taking fishing trips to Canada and fishing stories. He enjoyed watching sports and television. One of his favorite shows was the Kardashians. Pat's greatest joy was spending time with his family. Pat is survived by his son, Melvin of Madison; grandson, Brian of McFarland; sister, Lorri McGuigan of Madison; sisters-in-law, Marge McGuigan and Joyce McGuigan, Karen (Phil) Kast; along with numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sally in 2004; three brothers, Junior, Squeak, and John; and one sister, Maxine (Leo) Sweeney; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. A private burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the family.
