Mary Isobel Hansen

MADISON- Mary Hansen, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on March 7, 1928, in Madison, the daughter of Thomas T. Nash and Bertha (Meisner) Nash. Mary attended Madison East High School, graduating in 1946. She married Carlton Hansen in 1950 in Madison. Mary was an office manager who had a successful career for Bausch and Lomb and the State of California. Mary was a member of the Elks Club. She liked to gamble and play bingo. Mary also loved to read mystery novels, ride the bus, and especially enjoyed chatting with strangers on the bus. She loved trying new restaurants and attending sporting events with Carl. They enjoyed traveling, horse races, and golf. Mary is survived by her husband, Carlton; nieces and nephews, Nancy (Joe) Scudera, Julie (Ed) West, Steven (Angie) Nash, Kim (Kathi) Nash, Barbara (Dennis) Knoble, and Rita Nash; and good friend, Betty Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas F. Nash; nephew, Kerry Nash; and sister-in-law, Dolores Nash Wolf. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016, with Monsignor Charles Schluter presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
