Shay Eric Dicken

MADISON-Shay E. Dicken, age 29, of Madison, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on Feb. 18, 1987, in Madison, the son of Martin Grate and Barb Dicken. Shay graduated from La Follette High School in 2005. He worked for UW Madison Housing as a building superintendent. Shay was the sunshine in everyone's life. Shay is survived by his mom, Barb; brothers, Schad and Shawn; grandma, Ellen Dunn; uncle, Pete "Bill" (Mary); aunt, Bonnie Grate; and other special family and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Martin; and sister, Dawn. A gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Thursday, May 26, 2016.
