Steven Erwin Lee

MADISON-Steven E. Lee, age 50, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on Oct. 13, 1965, in Madison, the son of Robert and Bernie (Truehl) Lee. After an eight-year battle with chronic illness, Steve stepped into glory and to his heavenly home. He was a strong, faithful, kind-hearted man that loved his family, friends and especially his children and grandchildren very much. Steve was also an animal lover and cared for many a critter in his lifetime. He was a tender and loving husband to his current wife, Lisa. Steve and Lisa shared a love of God, family and animals, and tried to pack as much love and happiness into their short time on this earth together. He is survived by his current wife, Dr. Lisa (DeMumbrum) Lee of Madison; daughter, Mellissa (Craig) Simon of Oshkosh; sons, Michael Lee (Samantha Kroll) of Verona and Timothy Lee of Madison; grandchildren; Emma and C.J.; parents, Robert and Bernie (Truehl) Lee; brother, Bob Jr. (Betty) Lee of Chicago; sisters, Lynn and Jim AuClair of Wisconsin Dells and Tamara and Randy Merida of Mazomanie. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Stephanie. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Friday, May 20, 2016, and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
