Obituary
COTTAGE GROVE-John Anthony Lukosaitis, age 59, of Kenosha and Cottage Grove, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born on Jan. 7, 1957, in Kenosha, the son of Anthony and Eleanor (Karalis) Lukosaitis. He attended Kenosha schools, graduating from Tremper High School. After attending UW-Madison, John followed his passion for cars by pursuing a long career in auto sales and wholesaling. He was considered a car aficionado and was highly respected by his peers. As a long time Cottage Grove resident, John lent his time and talent to multiple community projects and the local Jaycees honored him as their "Jaycee of the Year". He was a caring man whose generosity touched numerous friends and family. John's favorite activities included boating, reading, political discussion, sharing time with family and friends and anything associated with cars. John is survived by his sons, Mark (Ashley Zavrl) Lukosaitis and Adam Lukosaitis; mother, Eleanor Lukosaitis; sister, Linda (Don) Jacobson; niece and goddaughter, Alexis Jacobson; fiancée, Sara Irwin and her daughter, Danielle (Scott) Hall, and her grandchildren, Matthew, Alannah and Owen; beloved pet, Mercedes Benz; and other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service, commencing at noon, on Saturday, May 21, 2016, will be held at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 434 N. Main St. in Cottage Grove. A Life Celebration at the BLACK BEAR INN, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., also in Cottage Grove, 320 W. Cottage Grove, Rd., will immediately follow the service.
