Marlene Rae Kind

MADISON- Marlene R. Kind, age 75, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, in Monona. She was born on July 5, 1940, in Madison, the daughter of Roman and June Weisensel. She married Charles Kind on May 26, 1968. Marlene loved her grandchildren. She also loved her trips to the casino. Marlene enjoyed walking, old time TV shows, her police scanner, the local TV council meeting, and dogs, especially Sophie. Marlene is survived by her son, Jim (Erin) Kind; grandchildren, James (Vanessa) Hunt, Brandon (Debbie) Hunt, Amber Hunt, Savannah Kind, and Jordan Kind; great-grandchildren, Lilie, Damian James, Dominic James, and Dalton; brother, Jerry (Penny) Weisensel; and sisters, Donna (Bill) Brown and Sharon Horstmeyer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Tara Hunt; and sister, Beverly Glass. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
