Theresa M. Wofford

MADISON- Theresa Marie Wofford, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016, succumbing to a long time struggle with diabetes related health problems. She was born on Feb. 5, 1954, in Madison Wis., to James and Shirley (Haensgen) Pike. Theresa was the oldest of five children. She graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Theresa was hired straight out of high school to work as a secretary for high ranking officers at the U.S. Pentagon. She began her family while in Virginia and was a dedicated mother to her three children. Theresa moved to Madison to be closer to her parent and siblings, and for a short time worked at the William S. Middleton Veterans Hospital call center. She was a gifted seamstress, enjoyed ceramics, loved music and animals, and enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren. Theresa is survived by her children, Kenneth (Kerrigan) Wofford, Rebecca (William R Jr) Faircloth and Tiffany (Jesse) Medley; grandchildren, Klaire, Korbin, Isaveil, Ryan, Alexis, Addison, Sofia and Johnathon; parents, James and Shirley Pike; siblings, Randy (Winnifred) Pike, David Pike, John Pike and Diane Bock; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Dr, Monona, at 10 a.m., on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
