Obituary
MIDDLETON-Beth G. Daggett, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from complications of lung cancer. She was born January 25, 1940, in Green Bay, the daughter of Clifford and Verda (Zuehlke) Gale. From her very early youth, Beth became a baton twirler leading the band at Green Bay Packer games. After graduating from West High School in Green Bay she moved to Madison. She graduated from the UW Madison where she received both her undergraduate and Master's degree in Education and Communicative Disorders. She worked as a speech and language therapist for the Madison Metropolitan School District for over 35 years. A true entrepreneur, she never really retired. She obtained both her real estate brokers and appraisers licenses and owned several businesses with her daughters. In her spare time she loved to garden, but truly treasured time with her family, especially her granddaughters Nicolette and Anna. Teaching them to play piano and attending their school and sporting events. Beth is survived by two daughters, Julie Daggett and Carrie Miscevich; their father, Mel Daggett; grandchildren, Anna Reihl and Nicolette Miscevich; sister, Judy (Phil) Winkel; and her beloved feline companion Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Cal Gale and Stuart Gale. A celebration of Beth's life will be held at OLBRICH GARDENS, 3330 Atwood Ave., Madison, from 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2016, with a sharing of memories beginning at 2:30 pm . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society. Beth touched so many lives. She was the best mother we could have ever asked for. She will be dearly missed, but her wisdom and love will live on. PEACE & LOVE. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com. Julie, Carrie and Families-
Dave and I were SO SORRY to hear of your Mom's health struggles. Beth was an incredibly intelligent. stylish, and accomplished woman ---beautiful inside and out! In my opinion, she was one of the premier Speech/Language Pathologists in the State. She worked on many projects such as language sample analysis with Madison Public Schools, and Dr. Jon Miller, UW-Madison, which ultimately benefited children and Speech/Language Pathologists throughout Wisconsin. She was then recruited by me to serve as a Special Education Consultant, with Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District, where she again shared her expertise, patience, and quiet wisdom. After leaving that position she continued working with me (former DPI Speech Language Consultant and Director of Special Education and Student Services in MCPASD) providing Speech Language Program Evaluations and various In-service Programs pertaining to speech/ language development/assessment/language sampling to many Districts throughout the State of Wisconsin. These would help lead to more appropriate diagnosis and remediation for children with language disorders.
But on a more personal note, Beth was a wonderful friend. Many, many evenings were spent in her home sharing a glass of wine in front of her beautiful fireplace. We shared lots of memories, and stories--usually ending with sharing information about our daughters and grandchildren. You were her PRIDE and JOY!! She continued her life as a true entrepreneur in the Real Estate and Business world,
however, all of you were her true focus. This world has lost a very special woman, but Heaven has gained an angel! We are so sorry to miss the Memorial (we are in Florida) but want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you all.. Sincerely, Barb Leadholm-Damgaard and Dave Damgaard

Beth was an incredibly gifted speech and language clinician. Len Rush, our principal, advised me to get counsel from Beth since she had such extensive knowledge about everything related to educating young children. That was high praise and well-deserved! I frequently called on her expertise and always came away awed by her wisdom, her generosity of time and support, her caring, and her dedication. She shared her personal resources and sound advice. She was an inspiring master teacher and a wonderul colleague.
My condolences,

A mother's love is forever. Nothing can take it from you, but I am sorry your family has lost an amazing woman. Beth and I worked together for several years. I always knew I could count on her knowledge and wisdom to help me with any challenge I might be facing.
I loved spending evenings at her beautiful home, seeing what she had done in her garden and listening to her talk about her family.
May the memories of your mother's love be with you and comfort you at this time.
With love and sympathy.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was a baton twirler with Beth 4 years of high school and looked for her at each reunion. She was never there and I missed her. She was very special even as a teenager - always kind and giving.
